Rural Development from a mission has gradually changed to a profession and recently various educational institutes have come forward to offer professional courses in Rural Development in order to prepare skilled and committed rural development professionals.

Job opportunities in Rural Development are available in Government sectors/ banks/ NGOs/voluntary organizations, social development units of corporate sectors, self-employment, training centres, projects, teachers, researchers, consultants, etc. Career aspirants, on successful completion of the course can secure jobs as administrators, budget analysts or executives in both NGOs and local Government bodies.
Undergraduate Research
Research activities are not confined to post-graduate level but are integrated into the under-graduate program at USTM. The 6th semester offers a comprehensive course on research methodologies and project dissertation that helps each student to acquire a preliminary idea about the active field of research. This further motivates students to pursue their career in higher education and industry.

HS/(10+2) in any stream with 45% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for reserved categories).
