The department of chemistry, USTM offers undergraduate program BSc in Chemistry based on UGC guidelines. The curriculum offers knowledge of theories and subsequently relevant hands-on experiments in the laboratory.

Curriculum
i. Introductory chemistry
ii. Foundation courses covering sub-disciplines.
iii. In-depth courses that build upon these foundations and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Laboratory Experience
The BSc chemistry laboratory experiments at USTM includes:
i. Measurement of chemical properties, understanding structures, and phenomena.
ii. Synthesis and characterization of molecules
iii. Hands-on experience with modern analytical instrumentation
Undergraduate Research
Research activities are not confined to post-graduate level but are integrated into the under-graduate program at USTM. The 6th semester offers a comprehensive course on research methodologies and project dissertation that helps each student to acquire a preliminary idea about the active field of research. This further motivates students to pursue their career in higher education and industry.
