This Course will try to provide the students with a comprehensive understanding about the discipline of Political Science as currently being taught in Indian Universities. It will equip the students with expertise in various areas of Political Science including Political Thought, Political Theories, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Indian Government & Politics, State Politics in India, Local Self Government in India, Public Administration, Political System of important countries, etc.

Career Scope
The Course is expected to equip the students to be able to take up teaching job in Universities and Graduate Colleges as well as research position in Universities and other research institutions. It will also equip the students to appear successfully in Competitive Examinations such as NET, UPSC, SPSC, SSC, etc. It will also equip the students with the requisite skills to take up jobs in privet sector companies, NGOs, advocacy groups, UN and its specialized agencies, other international organizations, foreign embassies and also as advisers/assistants to senior politicians (MPs, Ministers,etc) The skills imparted to the students in the course will also enable them to take up jobs of political correspondents of newspapers, television channels, etc.
